ICC has announced a lot of changes to the format of the tournament this year. In previous versions of this event, there used to be three to four groups. From each groups, one or two teams could qualify to the next round in order to play the quarter final matches. This age old format has been changed this time to make the tournament more exciting. This time, there will be only one group containing all the qualified teams for the event.
This time, it is planned to give each team a chance to prove itself. Unlike the previous formats where a strong team sometimes got an unfair chance over a weak team, the new format gives all the teams an equal opportunity to prove its strength. The four best teams will reach knockout round and two will make it to the finals.
Due to the change of format, 2019 World Cup cricket will be more exciting than ever. Teams, having strong balance, will be able to qualify for the next round. Weaker teams would not be able to survive. However, all ten teams look well-balanced. There is no weak team in the list of the 10 teams, as they are poised with great batting as well as bowling strength.

Captain Joe Root will be the key player for the team, and his planet positions will be crucial for the victory of England in this tournament. The reigning champion of 2015, Australia is also a strong contender of this tournament. This team holds the record of winning the most number of world cups. Australian team appears to be a formidable power, when it comes to the ODI World Cup. Though they shall miss out key players like David Warner and Steve Smith, Australia still has high chance to win this tournament.
India, the Asian cricket giant, is considered as the potential winner of this upcoming 2019 world cup. Led by Captain Virat Kohli, Indian cricket team has the perfect balance. There are quality batsmen who can win matches single handedly. There are also quality bowlers who can tear apart the oppositions batting line up.
Another Asian team, Pakistan is also a strong contender for this world cup. Team Pakistan is good mix of young skills and experience. They have won ICC Champions Trophy 2017 by defeating India. However, performance of this team was not appreciable in the last few ODI events. In Asia Cup 2018, it failed to reach the finals. Having defeated Pakistan in the same tournament, the team of Bangladesh is, however new, a threat to rest of the competitors. Experience is not the only thing you need to lift the trophy of ICC Cricket World Cup, and even if they do not turn magical, at least team Bangladesh is going to make other teams sweat a bit more.
