One day, Malyavan met Sage Narada, accidentally.Narada advised him to perform the Magha Ekadashi Vrat with severe devotion to transform his wife into her original form. Malyavan followed his advice and performed the Ekadashi Vrat in the month of Magh. As a result, his wife was freed from the curse and finally, got transformed into a human being. Since then, the day of Jaya Ekadashi came into being.
